Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Domestic Violence Claims Connected to Player the Athlete

The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night stating they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver the athlete and had been in communication with the league office.

The organization omitted the name of the player specifically in their announcement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Dacoda Nichole Jones, who likewise did not name Rice by name, shared a series of photos on social media that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. She did say the person involved was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.
