Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
